Description

‘Achieving in English 3' is a write-on student workbook that provides a complete revision programme for all seven Achievement Standards in the NCEA Level 3 English course. This book can be used as an ongoing study resource for Level 3 English students. Once completed, the book becomes a useful set of study notes at exam time and should be kept as a reference book. Alternatively, 'Achieving in English 3' may be bought towards the end of the year and used as a pre-exam study programme.

Detailed teaching notes and worked examples appear on most pages and a full set of removable answers (which act as a guide to structuring quality answers) is included. English language skills practice pages are featured throughout the book as well as step-by-step guidance to help students produce meaningful study notes from their own resources (novels, films, poems, etc).

At the end of each chapter students will find a valuable model essay answer for the Achievement Standard, showing them exactly WHAT ideas and phrases are required to gain 'achieve', 'merit' or 'excellence' grades. Glossaries and an index are also included.
